The 1/4 Pint Glass Jar is the small honey jar with a specific job. It's the one that ends up in welcome bags at weddings, in branded gift sets for corporate clients, and on sample trays at farmers markets where you want people to try before they commit to a full pound. The jar shape — smooth sides, round shoulders, wide mouth — is what the packaging industry calls a "mayo jar." It's a practical, clean-looking container that holds a label well and stacks efficiently.
A note on the sizing: this jar holds approximately 6 oz of honey by weight (170 grams, or about ⅔ of a ½ cup). The fluid volume is 4¼ fl oz, and that's where the "4¼ oz" in the name comes from. Like all honey jars, it's sized by honey weight rather than liquid volume — so the weight-based capacity will always read larger than the fluid ounce equivalent.
It fits 48mm metal lids, sold separately. That's the same lid size as the 8 oz Classic Glass Jar, so if you're already running 48mm lids in your operation, you won't need a second lid SKU for these.
Glass jars are available for local pickup at our store in Birmingham, Alabama, or can be shipped via ground or freight. Shipping glass is at the customer's risk — we're not responsible for breakage in transit, but you can add shipping insurance at checkout.
